    Description

Luis and Clark 16⅜” viola (serial #135), Joule bow by CodaBow, BAM Hightech case with modular interior and sheet music pouch.
Purchased new in '09 and in excellent condition. Viola and bow produce a gorgeous tone that projects well. I recorded two videos of me playing them. Listen with good speakers or earphones, but watch out for the dog barking at the end of the faster one:
    slow, lyrical
    faster, articulate
Purchased new, the viola, bow, and case would cost you more than ,500. You'd likely have to spend at least twice that to get a wood instrument that sounds as good. Viola and bow are each made of black carbon fiber, so they make a great pair both musically and visually. At first I played the instrument with one of CodaBow's other models. When I upgraded to the Joule it was an enormous improvement in tone and response. Carbon fiber is all but indestructible and is unaffected by heat and humidity, as well.
Also included are a Bonmusica shoulder rest, Larica Gold II and Larica Gold III rosin (each only slightly used), fine tuning screws (Luis and Clark recommends removing these and using the geared Pegheds tuning pegs instead, but they're in the case if you want them), and instructions from the manufacturers for the viola and case.
