    Description

    This is a nicely preserved and large example of a molar of Desmostylus hesperus an extinct Hippopotamus-like animal. This odd looking tooth was collected in California. It is still partially embedded in the rock that it was found in.
    From the Miocene era.
    Tooth size: 1.4” by 0.94”.
